Nov 12-16, I will be teaching a one week intensive course at the Confluence Institute for Innovation and Creative Strategies in Architecture, based in Lyon and founded by Odile Decq in 2014. The semester theme is Take a Stand! and with the students we will be exploring invisible histories, and how performance and design practices can problematize these, and make critical issues palpable.

As the city that was home to the Lumière Brothers factory, and the site of the first film, Sortie de l’usine Lumiere, there is no better place to think about invisible labour.

In addition to the intensive course, I will give a public lecture on November 12th, titled States of Exception.
